Accel Physical Therapy is looking for a Registered Physical Therapist to join our well-established clinic that is FCAMPT Certified. We want an individual that is highly professional, career driven, eager to learn and ready to have fun.  We are looking for a person who is dedicated to this profession and willing to put in the extra time to grow and develop.

We have two locations in Fort McMurray; we have contracts with the AJHL Oil Barons, Keyano College Huskies, Fort McMurray Knights and Monarchs.  We have built exceptional relationships with the Physicians and Surgeons in this community and will ensure that our Therapists will be successful. 

Qualifications:

  • Registered Physical Therapist with the Physiotherapy Alberta College with valid professional liability insurance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Professional and friendly demeanor
  • Strong interest in manual therapy and continuing education courses
  • New Grads will be offered supervision from an FCAMPT Certified Physical Therapist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Carry out comprehensive subjective and objective assessments
  • Eager to learn new methods, share ideas and challenges with other Therapists
  • Willing to collaborate with other practitioners to provide the best possible outcome for the client
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each client
  • Provide client with guidance, education, and expertise to help achieve their goals
  • Document treatment notes electronically and ensure accurate documentation of all aspects of care, from initial assessment to discharge
  • Provide concise status reports to Doctors, insurance companies and third party sources for continuity of care
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Accel Physical Therapy

 What you will be responsible for:

  • Build strong rapport with clients and develop professional relationships
  • Maintaining a caseload and developing goal oriented treatment plans with each client
  • Collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Adequate communication with third parties, such as referral sources, insurance companies, and other health care professionals
  • Adhering to facility business procedures
  • Participate in business and community development initiatives to drive growth
  • Participate in ongoing clinical education
  • Having fun in a supportive workplace culture!
