Your opportunity is as a sole charge physiotherapist with a very supportive team including an occupational Therapist and therapy assistant. Grande Cache is located in the northern part of the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by panoramic views of 21 mountain peaks and 2 river valleys. It has the most spectacular well laid out hiking trails. Located 183 km south of Grande Prairie and 143 km north of Hinton, it is a small mountain hamlet adjacent to the unspoiled Willmore Wilderness Park. Willmore Wilderness Park has an abundance of trails, big game, alpine flowers and spectacular waterways. Grande Cache has an excellent choice of shops, campgrounds, accommodations, restaurants and endless multi-use trails.

Description:

As a Physiotherapist II, you will provide coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will provide supervision of students and team members as assigned. You will work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team providing leadership to other healthcare professionals. You will be making day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and follow-up. You will make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient and effective client care. You will ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines. You will be coordinating the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits and providing follow-up and feedback to staff. You will participate in program development and operational planning and representing the department on committees or programs. You will make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow, caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers. As we transition to our Provincial Electronic Medical Record (Connect Care) you will also be able to share patient information real time with these senior clinicians to assist you in providing high quality care.
