Job Description

 We are looking for another Part-time to Full-time Occupational Therapist to join our team to support people in living their best lives by improving functional life skills, sensory integration and regulation, social and play skills and overall quality of life. In this role you’ll be working in a multi- disciplinary team with  primarily our pediatric clients, with the opportunity to see adolescents, young adults and adult clients as well. This would be at our clinic, in schools, and in the community.

Specifically, we’ll be asking you if you have:

  • One or more years of experience in working with clients in various settings (e.g., schools, health care facilities, private clinics, etc.)

  • Experience or training in non-standard and standardized assessments level of expertise in treatment plan development and home programming.

Areas of responsibility include: 

  • Providing assessment, treatment, home programming and consultation for children, youth, teens and adults with physical and/or developmental delays or disorders.

  • Accurate, comprehensive and timely documenting of client care assessments, treatment plans, charting, interventions and outcomes.

  • Reviewing clinical referrals; accepting, screening and assessing client needs from an occupational therapy perspective in collaboration with other health disciplines.

  • Supporting inclusion plans, community involvement / engagement and return to work programs.

  • Educating families and clients.

  • Supervising Occupational Therapy students (as preferred).

  • Collaborating within the inter-professional team at SLN.

Successful candidates will: 

  • Possess a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Be eligible for, or licensed by, the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists (SSOT)

  • Have a valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • Current Criminal Record Check

  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check

  • Ability to be autonomous; working both independently and as a team
