A temporary recruitment and retention supplement will be offered to front line Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Midwifery, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist positions within the Hay River Health and Social Services Authority. The successful incumbent will receive a $6000 supplement upon hire and an additional $6000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions.
The Physiotherapist provides comprehensive diagnostic and intervention services to clients with acute and chronic disorders of musclo-skeletal, neurological or cardiopulmonary systems to attain, maintain or regain optimum levels of health. Physiotherapists are also expected to participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and facilitate the delivery of quality services with the multidisciplinary team. Physiotherapy services are provided in accordance with legislation, standards, guidelines and ethics of the CCHSA, provincial licensing body, Canadian Physiotherapy Association and policies of the Hay River Health & Social Services Authority.
Qualifications:
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Baccalaureate or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university. Two years’ experience in a variety of practice contexts and populations is preferred, however, new graduates and those with a variety of experience will be considered.

The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority provides a full range of services to Hay River and its' 6 outlying communities via a new state-of-the-art 29-bed Hospital with Ambulatory and Acute Care, Long Term Care services, Mental Health services and Allied Health services. Midwifery, Dialysis, and Rehabilitation are also part of our comprehensive services. Additionally, the community has a 15-bed Long Term Care facility and a Supportive Living campus comprised of three residential homes and a Day Program building.
