The Badminton and Racquet Club of Toronto, a mid-town private multi-racquet, fitness, wellness, dining and social club, with a strong foundation in excellence, located near transportation with a dynamic and vibrant stakeholder culture, is recruiting for a Physiotherapist with great energy and enthusiasm to be part of our brand-new Sports Therapy & Wellness Centre. The Club is looking for an ideal candidate that is highly motivated, enthusiastic, a team player and willing to continue learning and expanding their profession. They must be competent with manual therapy and prescribing and teaching exercises.
Status: independent contractor
Remuneration: 60% of amounts billed to members
Requirements:
- Received a physiotherapy degree at a university or college
- Registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Minimum of 3-year-experience working with patients with a variety of needs and diagnoses
- Acupuncture certification an asset
- Vulnerable sector background check
- General and commercial liability insurance of a minimum of $2,000,0000
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional knowledge of physiotherapy health care disciplines
- First-aid Certified
- Good computer knowledge of billing/POS systems
- Excellent record keeping of confidential patient records
- Able to work some weekends and evenings
Services Rendered:
- Effectively assess, treat and devise customized rehabilitation programs for clients.
- Hands-on physiotherapy, which may include deep / soft tissue therapy, stretching, strengthening, etc.
- Educate members about how to prevent and / or improve conditions by demonstrating, explaining and assisting clients in completing exercise programs.
- Work with other healthcare professions to treat member conditions / injuries.
- Maintain and record all assessment and clinical notes through documentation.
- Through knowledge of Physiotherapy practice, with program development and evaluation skills, as well as experience in exercise programs an asset.
- Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating clients.
- Demonstrated professional and legal accountability and leadership abilities.
- Commit to uphold a strong member rapport and ability to build solid member / practitioner relationships.
- Commit to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health.
- Invoice for treatments in a timely manner.
- Show up to member appointments as scheduled.
- Report any issues or deficiencies to the Sports Therapy & Wellness Manager.
- Work with the Sports Therapy & Wellness Manager to promote physiotherapy services, including providing articles for ENews or club newsletter.
