Cochrane Temiskaming Children's Treatment Centre

Located in beautiful northern Ontario, the vision of the Cochrane Temiskaming Children’s Treatment Centre is one where “children and youth of all abilities will access opportunities, develop their potential and participate in their community”.

WHAT WE DO: We are comitted to providing quality rehabilitation and supportive services to children, youth, and their Families in the Districts of Cochrane and Temiskaming who have a variety of physical, development, and communication challenges. Our catchment area is from Hearst to Latchford, including the City of Timmins, as well as  Moosonee and Moose Factory  and other communities in the James Bay area.

Therapists travel to communities in the catchment area and there are therapy assistants who reside in six communities.  They provide their services in the Centre’s offices and in homes, schools, daycares and community settings.

OUR VALUES: We value and practice family centered care, support and implement standards of best practice, promote best outcomes for children and are a proactive partner in the children’s service system.

WHO WE SEE: We see children from birth to 19 years of age, or 21 if they are still in school. Last year, close to 1,000 children/youth and their families received our services. We offer many types of individual and group services, programs and clinics that fall under these categories:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
