West Parry Sound Health Centre

West Parry Sound Health Centre is an innovative 70-bed acute care facility accredited with exemplary standing.  WPSHC is an ultra-modern rural teaching hospital affiliated with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and Canadore College.

West Parry Sound Health Centre covers a vast geographical area. Stretching from the French River, north of Parry Sound to Moose Deer south of MacTier, from Burks Falls and Hwy. 11 west into Georgian Bay, the health centre provides care for the area’s 20,000 year-round and 110,000 seasonal residents.

The health centre building, located at 6 Albert Street, Parry Sound, contains all of our Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Complex Continuing Care, Administrative Services, and Lakeland Long Term Care facility. Next door is the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) ambulance base, and between these two buildings is the helipad.

In our outlying areas, Nurse Practitioner Led Clinics (NPLCs) are located each with their own Nurse Practitioner. They are located in Rosseau, Whitestone, Argyle, Pointe au Baril, Britt, and Moose Deer Point.

Our 24-hour ambulance service in Parry Sound is augmented by bases in South River, Burks Falls, Powassan, Argyle, Pointe au Baril, and Seguin.
